Dual-monitors, window hidden

Switching from dual monitors to a single monitor then losing windows?

Select ALT-SPACEBAR on your keyboard, then 'M' (for Move), then use the keyboard arrow keys to move the window back into view.

I have used this trick for a few years and it works great!

Before I switch from dual to single monitors, I drag all of my windows to my primary monitor before closing them. This will save the positions for the next time they are open.

Obama

First "black" president?!

Give me a break!
"We are in a recession!" People are losing jobs, their homes, their savings, and their trust in the U.S. government...and people are concerned about the "first black president"??

Then the media's headlines are concentrating on Obama being the first "black" president??

Who cares??!!

What is he going to do for us to make this a better place to live?
I say this for any president.

I would get reprimanded, yelled at, possibly fired, or get into a fight if I were to call an "African American" black!

I once had a "black" woman ask me where I was from. I said Los Angeles. She asked me what country my last name is from. I said I am "German American".
She said I can't say that because I'm not from Germany.
She said she's "African American" because her ancestors were from Africa.
Damn!! I told her I'm more German than she is African!!
She called me a racist! A racist?? A racist calls me a racist??!!

When I applied for the LAPD, I was told I can't go forward because they weren't hiring "white males"!! Well...F*** you!!

People with this arrogance don't belong here. Get a life, move on.

I have just as many rights as anyone else in this country, I don't care what damn color anyone is.
Citizens of the U.S. need to get their thumbs out of their mouths, grow up, and act like human beings!

We have lost our technologies to other countries, all do to corporate greed, government bureaucracy, and plain 'ol stupidity.

If change doesn't happen soon, there will be no turning back.

"Death Race" boycott

I was at the Jimmy Kimmel show Friday, Aug 29 with my daughter. It was a fun show. But, when Tyrese Gibson announced that everyone at the show could go across the street and see "Death Race" for free...ON HIM, it was bogus. We even recieved wrist bands from the Jimmy Kimmel staff to see the movie!
I talked to the theater manager who walked across the street to the Jimmy Kimmel show and talked to a manager there. The manager said it was all a joke! It was a huge let down for my daughter and myself.I passed the word and I will boycott all of Tyrese's films from now on! I hope other's will follow.

AUGI CAD Camp

I visited my first AUGI CAD Camp on Wednesday, May 21 2008.
I don't want to go into too much detail, so I will be brief.
Although I am an avid SolidWorks user, at my job I also do Autodesk Enterprise Support for our company.
Autodesk has a lot of products and a few have improved over the past few years.
But, there is a lot more improvement needed. They have WAYYY too many products and much of them overlap. AutoCAD 2009 now has features imported from Inventor.

There was a lot of 3D talk. AutoCAD is now starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and moving to 3D. The two products I heard the most were Rivet and MEP.
